Nonprofit Resource: Buffer for Nonprofits

One of the ways a nonprofit should protect its vision and mission is to be violently protective of how it spends its time.

Many 501c3 organizations hire individuals to do the job of 3 to 4 people. You have a lot on your plate.

Now everybody wants to serve you up a big helping of ‘Do a lot of social media.’ It can be huge time suck if you’re not careful.

My favorite tools for easily scheduling original social media content is Buffer.  The application is especially good for Twitter and LinkedIn. Facebook is so quirky. You can schedule for Facebook, but Facebook’s already cruel algorithm penalizes posting via third party apps).

You can try out a free version, but Buffer is currently (as of 12/12/14) offering 50% off all plans for nonprofits.

I have no dog in this fight, but I definitely recommend trying out the service. It’s great stuff.
